The BoydPay digital wallet solution, which allows customers to create a cashless digital wallet and connect it to external funding through Sightline Payments, was first introduced at the Blue Chip Casino Resort Spa in Michigan City, Indiana last month.

The Boyd Gaming and Aristocrat field trial launched at Aliante Casino in North Las Vegas, Nevada, has increased the number of states where the casino operator's betting offers a cashless solution to 3. BoydPay is also present in Belterra Park, Cincinnati, Ohio.

“BoydPay is the latest product of our collaboration with Boyd and the foundation of an unforgettable customer journey. We have the best people in the industry who create the most innovative products that increase the comfort of guests. ”

Cath Burns, Executive Vice President, Customer Service Solutions, Aristocrat

The BoydPay digital wallet, in its initial phase, is linked to the player's loyalty card, B Connected, allowing you to play or withdraw on slot machines provided by Aristocrat content and technology. Boyd Gaming plans to roll out this solution to all of its US casinos by summer 2021, pending regulatory approval.

"Through our innovative partnership with Aristocrat, we will create unique and hassle-free payments for Boyd Gaming customers, enabling them to use their smartphones to play casino games, withdraw cash and pay for restaurant meals, tickets to shows or hotel rooms."

In the following phases, as well as pending regulatory approval, BoydPay will be linked to the casino operator's B Connected Mobile app and will offer customers contactless play or withdrawal via smartphones. The digital wallet solution will also allow customers to pay for amenities throughout the facility.

"By giving up cash, our clients will be able to avoid the waiting times and inconvenience of using cash and focus on the enjoyment of visiting our properties."

Boyd Gaming is not the only casino operator trying to implement cashless solutions in its gaming facilities. In California, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians used the Marker Trax technology solution at Morongo Casino and Resort to make the casino the first cashless, while in Florida, Seminole Tribe implemented Everi Holdings technology to offer cashless solutions.
