Crown Resorts Sydney Hotel opens its doors, the casino stays closed
Crown Resorts' newest facility in Sydney, Australia has opened its doors today. Although visitors can use the hotel, many restaurants and bars, the on-site casino remains closed for the time being.

Crown Resorts' newest facility located in Sydney in Australia, opened its doors to visitors today. Although the main attraction of luxury resorts was supposed to be VIP casino, visitors would have to wait for this amenity, because it remains closed for now. The construction of the luxury resort in central Sydney, Barangaroo, took four years. Design, considered as The "most luxurious" hotel in Australia, cost AU 2.2 billion $.
The luxurious Crown Sydney complex includes The "six-star" Crown Towers Hotel , numerous restaurants, high-end retail stores and bars. With that in mind, the high roller casino remains closed since The NSW regulator withdrew the casino's approval last month . This decision was the result of an investigation to determine whether Crown Resorts is still eligible for a second Sydney casino license.
The investigation revealed allegations against Crown for money laundering and links to organized crime. Moreover, at the end of the hearings appeared more claims against Crown, claiming that vital details had been hidden during an investigation by the gaming giant. Accordingly, the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) has revealed that the license to play at the new facility will be considered in February next year.
