PlayStar Casino to be launched based on the GiG platform
The PlayStar Casino brand is still gearing up for its US debut, partnering with the Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) to bolster the company's online casino brand in that country, pending new market entrances in other states to be introduced at a later stage.
GiG will now power New Jersey's PlayStar casino, which is slated to go live in the fourth quarter of the year. As iGaming continues to outperform sports betting in revenue alone, PlayStar has taken a cautious approach to market entry at Garden State, working with Ocean Casino Atlantic City to gain market access.
However, according to New Jersey, it is only the first of many rollouts to come, with other markets scheduled for 2022 with more details to be revealed at a later date. Commenting on this development, PlayStar co-founder and executive vice president Adam Noble said he was looking forward to bringing world-class online casino games to players in this state.
Noble spared compliments from GiG, which he described as a key technology company and trusted partner in Europe and beyond. PlayStar is feeling much more confident entering Garden State and the United States with GiG's support, Noble added.
GiG believes in a partnership between companies
Richard Brown, CEO of GiG said similarly, praising PlayStar's strength in the gaming field, and said GiG was excited to be joining the operator on his innovative and inspiring journey through the US digital gaming market.
The director also added that "PlayStar has an extremely strong product vision, supported by a very experienced industry team." GiG and PlayStar have agreed to establish a revenue sharing model that will be valid for a minimum period of four years, subject to review when the contract is mature.
The GiG was already in the news this year and the company has agreed to improve the compatibility of the gaming operator and betting company bet365 in a number of markets. At the beginning of the year, GiG granted key employees of the organization the right to purchase shares, seeking to strengthen employee engagement.
