Wind Creek closes for three weeks to help contain the virus

Wind Creek Bethlehem will be reluctant to comply with the state-wide shutdown order, he said president and CEO Wind Creek Hospitality Jay Dorriswhile expressing their understanding of the need to contain the virus wave.

Security requirements did not prevent a second closure

Jay Dorris was disappointed that the property was forced to close a second time despite meeting all mask, physical distance and capacity restrictions since it reopened in june.

After closing on over 100 days Wind Creek resumed operations with reduced slot machines, reservation system, and improved cleaning protocols. Object called approx 1400 people back to work, hoping to summon even more when capacity caps are lifted and business returns to normal levels.

Instead, a huge casino resort in Pennsylvania is currently facing three-week closure that is about to expire January 4. As ordered Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, no personal entertainment business, including casinos, is allowed. An order for in-person sale allows stores in Wind Creek Bethlehem to stay open and operate with 50% efficiency.

This is the second time casinos in this state have been asked to shut down to help limit the further spread of the virus, and similar to the first shutdown in March when Wind Creek Bethlehem voluntarily chose to close, also pledged to teammates.

Until then, the casino resort had announced that it would pay all its employees all through Mayand has now made a similar commitment to pay its team members during the closing period, despite the closure of the facility's casino, hotel and restaurant.

Economic impact of restrictions in business

In July, the casino's first full month of operation, revenue decreased by 38% year on year, and at the end of September, a lower transaction volume forced the plant to cut approx 450 jobs, i.e. 20% manpower as a permanent closure Fish House Emeril.

Jay Dorris stated that in fiscal 2020, which ended September 30, Wind Creek Hospitality, a gambling and hospitality company owned by Poarch Band of Creek Indians, has had significant success.

“This is a specific exclusion, it is just like that. When we reopen, we'll take action and continue to try to outperform our fiscal year 2020.
