Sportradar and Bulgarian Police to protect fairness in sports
Sportradar , the world's leading international sports data provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with General Directorate of Police of Bulgaria by creating a strategic partnership to maintain the sports integrity of the country.
Under the agreement, both organizations will exchange documentation, analysis and other information related to integrity in sport. Bulgarian police and Sportradar will start exploring possible joint projects. The goal is to establish practices that will effectively combat fraud, match fixing and corruption in the sports betting industry.
Sportradar works with law enforcement agencies in Europe
Sportradar has established cooperation with the national police and law enforcement authorities of various European countries, including Europol. The company works with the Austrian police, the French federal police, the Spanish Guardia Civil and others. Today's MoU agreement with the Bulgarian police provides enhanced safeguards around Bulgarian sport.
Managing Director of Sportradar Integrity Services Andreas Krannich stated that the company's priority is to maintain the integrity of sport on a global scale. Partnerships like this help organizations reduce corruption that threatens the integrity of sport. The company strives to have effective channels of communication with the General Police Directorate of Bulgaria in order to solve any problems related to sports integrity in the country.
Chief Commissioner Nikolay Hadzhiev , Director of the General Directorate of the National Police, stated that the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations will lead to improvements in the protection and safeguarding of sports integrity and sports betting. He also said that this cooperation would put Bulgarian sport in a more secure position.
Sport has signed a deal with the NOC NSF
Sportradar has signed a pilot contract with the Dutch authorities to monitor betting on sports competitions in the Netherlands. It is the first company to provide integrity solutions in the Netherlands Olympic Committee Dutch Sports Federation (NOC NSF) . As the National Platform for this country under the Macolin Council of Europe Convention, NOC NSF will use Sportaradar tools, gleaned from experience and extensive knowledge in match-fixing.
Sportradar has teamed up with SvFF to monitor its competition
Sportradar has signed a contract with The Swedish Football Association (SvFF) to monitor and protect the integrity of football in the country.
In the 2021 season, the company will be using its bet tracking solution, fraud detection system , control 2, 000 matches from the Swedish Ettan, Division 2, U 21 Allsvenskan, U 19 Allsvenskan and friendly matches involving Swedish teams (FDS) .
SvFF has previously used Sportradar to assist with an ongoing investigation into a former Allsvenskan player.
